THE BOAT

While on your trip with Tail Chasers, you will be traveling on a state of the art mid engine 22ft Design Concepts River Angler Jet Boat. This boat will seat four passengers comfortably. Design Concepts is proud to exceed the quality standards of the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the American Boating and Yachting Council and the United States Coast Guard.

When selecting steering cables to bilge pumps, wiring systems to safety rails, they use only the highest quality premium components available on the market, so you will travel with confidence knowing that the components you can't see are of the same premium quality as the ones you can see.

The Rods & Reels

If you have ever spent a day dealing with equipment that was not performing, you understand the importance of quality equipment. You will be supplied with the best equipment available. You can feel confident that your gear will be trouble free, allowing you to enjoy the day of fishing.

We fish the finest gear designed specifically for our fishery. Every rod on board is a custom made rod built by Raptor Rod Works of Chico, CA. Custom-built Raptor Rods utilize the finest components using quality blanks and are designed to maximize the overall quality of the experience. Twenty years of rod building experience goes into every rod on board.

Our baitcasting rods are comprised of a 7 foot G-Loomis GL3 blank equipped with an Abu Garcia Amassadaur 6500 C4 series (6501 for you lefties).

Our heavier spining rods are again a G-Loomis GL3 blank with a Shimano Symetre 4000 reel.

For our lighter spinning rods, Batson Enterprises has manufactured the blanks and we have equipped them with the Shimano Sahara 2000 for some great ultra light action. Talk to your guide Keith Garcia about special discounts when purchasing your own Raptor Rod.
